The Great Smoky Mountains

I love to plan vacations, and I love taking them just as much. My Smoky Mountain plan will hopefully include a treehouse cabin, enjoying the fall foliage. I hadn't originally had this as a destination in my travel plans. While searching for must visit US destinations The Great Smoky Mountains popped up on several lists. When I read more, I thought this could be a perfect getaway for a long weekend, and maybe a bit more relaxing than most of our trips tend to be.

Day 1: Fly to Knoxville, drive to Galinburg

Day 2: Enjoy the park

• Meigs Falls

• Cades Cove

• Elkmont Ghost Town

Day 3: Enjoy the park

• Alum Cave Bluffs

• Clingmans Dome

• Chimney Tops Trail

Day 4: Relax

• Gatlinburg

Day 5: Fly Home
