My 50 State Adventures

Midatlantic Vacation
A mix of beaches, parks and history
When I sat down to plan this state grouping I wasn't overly excited about it. I try to keep all of our vacations to 9 days so we only miss one week of work, but after I started researching I ended up adding an extra day because I found so much I wanted to do and see. This is typical of my planning. Places I forgot exsist or didn't realize were in an area catch my eye. There is so much to see and do in this country I'm not sure I will ever tire of finding new places to visit.
I had originally planned to see Natural Bridge in Virginia but decided to cut that out so we could spend two days in the Historic Triangle, somewhere I didn't even know existed prior to planning this vacation.
If I could have added a few more days I would have routed us through Arlington National Cemetary and spent a day exploring Washington DC. Both Matthew and I have already been to DC, but we are planning to go back at some point in our travel adventures and we will visit Arlington then.
